It is amazing to think that, until now, there has been no real estate specific training for the support team (or ‘ground crew’ as we like to call it) of the real estate agency. Professionalism is synonymous with care and whilst basic skills in hospitality are an integral part of support they barely scratch the surface of the things to come.

Technology is rapidly replacing the record keeping and paperwork functions of the department and database management is absolutely vital to the future goodwill of the corporation. So it is that this fundamental role is in transition from administrator to communicator.

This re-designation as a communicator introduces new disciplines which are in reality sales and performance skills. Initiating a need for cross training then creates empathy and great cohesion between your sales, leasing and administration department.

The corporate model is fundamentally dependant upon the improved skill set in this department which extends to receptionists, sales cadets, marketing managers, assistants, property managers, accounts management, secretarial positions, in fact any support role.
